This Ninja Foodi watermelon jerky recipe is sweet like your favorite hard candy and chewy like taffy, but only better. Not only is this a crave-worthy snack, but it is also an excellent topper when broken over a salad or soup. I never really understood when somebody described the fruit as nature’s candy. Don’t get me wrong, I love a fresh apple or a delicious orange, but let’s be fair; it’s not the same as a candied-sweet treat.
How to Make Watermelon Jerky with Ninja Foodi Dehydrator
Also, sprinkling the watermelon with sea salt, black pepper, paprika, cayenne pepper, or a squeeze of lime juice before placing it in the Ninja Foodi dehydrator adds a little zip to your watermelon jerky.
Step 1. Arrange the watermelon cubes in a single layer in the Cook & Crisp Basket. Put the basket in the pot and close the Crisping Lid.
Step 2. Press Dehydrate, set the temperature to 135°F and set the time to 12 hours. Select Start/Stop to begin.
Step 3. When dehydrating is complete, remove the basket from the pot and transfer the jerky to an airtight container.
