I've been amazed by the number of things people make in an air fryer. I've seen cookies, pastries, candy bars, and anything.

  • 20 slices of dill pickle

  • ⅛ tsp. baking powder
  • 3 tsp. beer or seltzer water
  • ⅛ tsp. sea salt
  • 2 tbsp. water, + more if needed
  • 2 tbsp. cornstarch
  • 1½ C. Jap panko breadcrumbs
  • 1 tsp. Paprika
  • 1 tsp. Garlic powder
  • ¼ tsp. Cayenne pepper
  • 2 tbsp. Vegetable oil, divided

Instructions

  • Pat dry the pickle slices, then put them on a plate and place them in the freezer.

  • Use a small shallow bowl and add the cornstarch.
  • Use a separate large shallow bowl to blend the Jap panko breadcrumbs, paprika, garlic powder, and cayenne pepper.
  • Now take the pickles out of the freezer. Coat each pickle slice with cornstarch. Shake off excess cornstarch, then dip it into the batter. Last, evenly coat each slice with the Jap Panko bread crumb blend.
  • Please put it in the Crisper Basket and shut the lid. Choose AIR CRISP, set the temperature to 360°F, and set the time to 10 minutes. Choose START/STOP to start the preheating process.
  • After the Ninja Foodi beeps to let you know, it has preheated, put the breaded pickles slices in the crisper basket, piling them if needed, and lightly brush them with 1 tablespoon of oil. Shut the lid and cook for 5 minutes.
  • Cook for 5 minutes, then shake the crisper basket and gently brush the pickles with the remaining 1 tablespoon of oil. Put the crisper basket back in the Ninja Foodi and shut the lid to continue cooking.
  • After cooking is finished, serve instantly.
